Since 2025, we have brought together over 40 leading statewide and national organizations supporting youth media literacy education.
Our Mission
We promote youth media literacy education across Oregon’s schools through resource development, public engagement, legislative and budgetary advocacy, and professional learning.
Understanding AI and AI-generated media is essential for developing media literacy, just as understanding the impact and ethics of consuming and creating media is a core aspect of AI literacy. In other words, they are inseparable.

Launching the “Mind Over Media” collaboration campaign in fall 2026.
Developing a resource hub for educators, students, and caregivers interested in media & AI literacy
Seeking partners for News Literacy Projects paid district fellowship
Hearing from youth about the role of media and media literacy in their lives
Partnering with policymakers and other leaders to raise urgency and support for media & AI literacy education in all of Oregon’s schools
